About

It is a well known fact that our planet is in danger and that its future is questionable. Scientists claim that  Earth has only one decade to pull itself back from various environmental ‘tipping points’ — points at which the damage becomes irreversible. But, unfortunately, people do not seem to understand the seriousness of the problem. They are indifferent, although a change in their attitude is absolutely necessary. The change begins with each of us and if every single person in this world makes a small step, our planet will make a very big one in its way to recovery.

A group of students from the Republic of Moldova, members of the Access Microscholarship Program (http://americancouncils.md/access), under the American Councils to Moldova (http://americancouncils.md/), have decided that they don’t want to see their home dying and the world suffering from discrimination, social injustice, intolerance, crime, and other contemporary issues. This way, they try to use all the opportunities they have for helping it. They get involved in various projects in order to promote the healthy lifestyle, efficiently resolve conflicts, constructively address the acts of discrimination and social injustice, trying to convince people through various social projects that their attitude does make a difference, and that they can change the world indeed.

“You do change the world” blog is addressed to all active youth citizens of Moldova as an appeal to join the movement that intends to change for the  better the neighbourhood, the community, the country, the world…

The activity of these students is sponsored by various funds, one of them being “American Councils’ International Outreach Fund”.
